Home Boy James Continues Winning Streak Thursday
OKLAHOMA CITY, April 22, 2016 – The winning streak for Home Boy James stretched to three straight on Thursday night at Remington Park. The 4-year-old horse used a $7,500-level claiming race on to extend his run that stretches back to November 2015.

Owned by Juan Rodriguez of Dallas and trained by Jacobo Mejia, Home Boy James also won his second consecutive race of the Remington Park season. Cody Wainscott was up once again as Home Boy James posted a half-length win, handling 350 yards in :17.584 seconds over a fast track. To The Bank Babe was second while Burning Regard was third.
The wagering favorite at 3-2 odds, Home Boy James paid $5 to win, $2.80 to place and $2.80 to show. To The Bank Babe paid $2.60 to place and $2.40 to show. Burning Regard paid $7.60 to show.
The total purse for the claiming race won by Home Boy James was $16,700, of which he gains $9,840. An Oklahoma-bred by Ivory James from the Dashin Chico mare Sacchi MMG has now made $34,578 overall. He has won four of 14 career attempts.
Remington Park racing continues Friday thru Sunday, April 22-24. The first race nightly is at 6pm. Sunday afternoon racing starts at 1:30pm.
Saturday racing is headlined by the $958,000 Remington Park Futurity with the overall 12-race program worth more than $1.5 million. Sunday afternoon racing will feature the return to racing for 2015 All American Futurity winner Jess Good Candy in the $70,000 Mr Master Bug Stakes. Also in that race, the winner of the $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity in 2015, BV Midnite Express.
The Extreme Race Day for Charity also takes place on Sunday with Clydesdales, Zebras, Ostriches, Miniature Donkeys and Camels all competing on the track in between the regular horse racing program.
