TRIPLES ABOUND FRIDAY NIGHT AT REMINGTON PARK
OKLAHOMA CITY – Friday, May 27, 2016 , Friday evening was a three-win type of night for three involved horsemen at Remington Park. A pair of jockeys posted triples while the leading trainer also scored three times.

Trainer Clint Crawford of Sallisaw, Okla. continues atop the Remington Park standings with just six race dates remaining in the 2016 season. Attempting to win his second straight local title, the Crawford barn sent three to the winner’s circle Friday, all ridden by Jose Montoya. Berrenda Rose ($8.60 to win) won the third race with Tac A Shot Of Goose ($5) winning the sixth and Candy Captain Carl ($7.40) winning the eighth.
Crawford now has 33 wins for the season, five ahead of Eddie Willis who is second with 28.
Joining Montoya with three riding victories was Agustin Silva who started the night right with Twayas Last Dance ($6.80) in the opener. He then brought home Paint Me Furious ($4) around the turn in the fourth race at 870 yards before finishing his hat trick with Damn Strait ($7) in the ninth.
Silva’s three wins puts him at 40 on the season, eight behind Ivan Carnero at the top of the standings. Montoya’s triple gives him eight wins for the season.
The holiday racing week at Remington Park continues Saturday, May 28 thru Memorial Day Monday, May 30. Sunday racing features $360,000 in purse money over five stakes events, including the rescheduled $100,000 Sooner State Stakes.
The first race nightly is at 6pm with afternoon racing on Sunday and Memorial Day underway at 1:30pm. All times are Central.
