OKLAHOMA CITY – Saturday, May 28, 2016 , Remington Park jockeys are racking up the riding triples during the holiday weekend. For the second night in a row, two riders won three races apiece as Edgar Martinez and Jesus Salazar enjoying big nights on Saturday.

Edgar Martinez easily enjoyed his best night of the season, riding three winners to double his total for the Remington Park session to six. He won in the first and last races of the night with Nosnowonme ($11 to win) and Mamasito Magic ($21.20) in the 12th and final race on the card. In between, Martinez won on Jess A Profit Taker ($20.20) in the ninth race.

Jesus Salazar continues to have a strong finish for the Remington Park season after a less than quick start in the win column during the first weeks of 2016. Saturday night, Salazar won with Elartillero Drrollin ($4.80) in the fifth race, Smokin Ivory ($3) in race six and then capped his triple with O Elizabeth ($13.20) in the seventh race. After scoring in three consecutive races, Salazar’s season win total was up to 17.

Martinez and Salazar continued a trend started Friday night when Jose Montoya and Agustin Silva each rode three winners.

The holiday racing week at Remington Park continues Sunday, May 29 and Memorial Day Monday, May 30. Sunday racing features $360,000 in purse money over five stakes events, including the rescheduled $100,000 Sooner State Stakes. The first race on both Sunday and Memorial Day is at 1:30pm. All times are Central.
