CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 12, 2016 -(Article StallionESearch | Photos © Coady Photography) - Fdp Rock Solid turned in a solid performance on Saturday to defeat post-time favorite and fastest qualifier Aberdonian by a neck in the restricted Grade 3 $303,000 Black Gold 440 Futurity Championship at Will Rogers Downs. Knockemout Capi finished one-length back for third.

Ridden by jockey Agustin Silva, Fdp Rock Solid completed the classic 440 yard distance in :21.702 seconds to earn a 101 speed index. It was the fourth win and second stakes victory for the Rock Solid Jess Texas-bred gelding.

R.L. ''Rick'' Robinson conditions the sorrel gelding, out of First Down Payment by Dallas First Dash, for owner/breeder Sarah Huskey. Winner of the TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity(RG3) in July, Fdp Rock Solid has compiled a (6) 4-1-0 record and used the $121,200 Black Gold winner's purse to boost his earnings total to $177,212.

James Sills' Aberdonian earned $51,510 for his second place effort. Making only this fifth career start for trainer Eddie D. Willis, the Pyc Paint Your Wagon gelding was ridden by Jimmy D. Brooks. Ken Phillips bred Aberdonian in Texas from the Strawfly Special mare Strawfly Sting.

Knockemout Capi, who has been a finalist in three futurities this season, earned $33,330 for third. Manuel Almanza trains the Capo de Capi colt for owners Mayra Sanchez, Moises Esquirel and Adrian Mireles. Also third in the Grade 3 Speedhorse Futurity in July and sixth in the Black Gold 350 Futurity(RG3) in September, Knockemout Capi has earned $83,044.

Dee and Betty Raper bred the sorrel colt in Oklahoma from the Eyesa Special mare Eyesa Knockout.

Completing the field were 4th Dancing Capo Decapi, 5th Shades Of Midnite, DH-6th Tac My Prize, DH-6th Cartelscandymachine, 8th Fast Dynasty and 9th Baddest completed the field. Dauns First Desirio was scratched.
