LYNNDER 16 HAS TOP TIME ON SECOND NIGHT OF REMINGTON PARK FUTURITY TRIALS, SHAKE NEEDED TO DETERMINE FINAL SPOT
OKLAHOMA CITY -- April 12, 2018 – Lynnder 16 won the first trial of 11 on Saturday at Remington Park and her time for 330 yards stood up for the entire evening as the best. She and four others from the second night of qualifying will move on to the $934,500 Remington Park Futurity on April 21.
Owned by the Pierre, S.D. partnership of Tom Maher and Dick Tobin, Lynnder 16 is trained by Jason Olmstead and was ridden to a two-length victory by Cristian Esqueda. Lynnder 16 crossed the finish in :16.789 over a fast track. There was a very light tailwind of just nine miles per hour for the Lynnder 16 trial win.
An Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old filly by Apollitical Jess from the Corona Cartel mare Tinys Corona Queen, Lynnder 16 was bred by James and Marilyn Helzer. She won her career debut in her trial.
In the other news of the evening, a random pill-shake will be held at 9am on Sunday, April 8 in the Remington Park racing office to determine the fifth and final qualifier from Saturday’s trials. Tac N Dale (trial 7) and Jess Proved Youwrong (trial 9) each won their trial with the exact time of :16.906. The winner of the shake will gain the fifth and final spot from Saturday’s trials. Tac N Dale is trained by Jason Pascoe while Jess Proved Youwrong is trained by Luz Chavira.
Here are the four definite qualifiers from Saturday night, with their individual time, trial race and trainer, headed to the Remington Park Futurity.

Joining the qualifiers from Saturday night in the Remington Park Futurity, restricted to eligible Oklahoma-breds, are these five from the Friday, April 6 trials: Memories R Golden, Charlies Fury, Jeaniologi, Jess Let It B and Temptingsecretfly.
Sunday, April 8 racing will feature trials for the $347,400 Remington Park Derby. The first race Sunday is at 1:30pm-Central.
