OKLAHOMA CITY -- April 21, 2018 – Eagles Fly Higher left no doubts in winning Saturday night’s $100,000 Remington Park Juvenile, leading every step while scoring by one length.

The Juvenile was for Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds, with preference to those who competed in trials for the Remington Park Futurity. Owned by the Dennis, Texas partnership of Vernon Harman and Robert Moudy, III, Eagles Fly Higher is trained by Trey Ellis and was ridden by Ricky Ramirez. The colt handled the 330 yards in :16.393 over a sloppy track while staying undefeated in three attempts at Remington Park this season.

VF Jedi Returns was second while Saratoga Return was third, 1-1/4 lengths behind the victor.

Eagles Fly Higher was at 6-1 odds in the betting and paid $14 to win, $6.20 to place and $4 to show. VF Jedi Returns, the wagering favorite at 2-1 odds, paid $4.20 to place and $3.20 to show. Saratoga Return paid $7.40 to show. The remaining order of finish in the Juvenile was Sunlight Seven, Cappafeyin, Lota Streakin Wagon, Jess Proved Youwrong, Santander, Royal Cash Corona and Dynasty Leader.

Bred in Oklahoma by his owners, Eagles Fly Higher is by One Famous Eagle from the First Down Dash mare Lone bet. He picked up $40,000 for the Juvenile score to move his career earnings to $61,778.

Sunday, April 22 is Extreme Racing Day 2018 at Remington Park as the exotic animals compete throughout the afternoon, in between the regular American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa races. The exhibition races will begin the day at 1pm with the Express Ranch Clydesdales’ Match Race. The regular horse racing program starts at 1:30pm.
