However, the gray filly was too much for a less than perfect start to hold her back as she flew over 350 yards to post the top qualifying time of the evening at Remington Park.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- May 5, 2018 – Hold Air Hostage, the American Quarter Horse Association Champion 3-year-old for 2017, made his return to action in Saturday’s $100,000 Sooner State Stakesat Remington Park. Now a 4-year-old, Hold Air Hostage didn’t break a sweat. He easily rolled to victory in near-track record time against fellow Oklahoma-breds.

Hold Air Hostage, the American Quarter Horse Association Champion 3-year-old last year, will return to Remington Park for the first time since winning the 2017 Heritage Place Derby by a widening 1-3/4 lengths. Since that local romp, Hold Air Hostage has put together a five-race winning streak, topped by his triumphs in the $1.3 million All American Derby and the $1.1 million Rainbow Derby, both at Ruidoso Downs, N.M last summer.
